2. Tlie Board, consisting of h4essrs. hclcPartlin, Milner, and hils. Hare, reviewed
Petitioner's allegations of error and injilsticz on 18 June 2002 am!, pirrsuant to its regulations,
determined that the corrective action indicated below slioultl be taken on the available
evidence of record. Docun~entary ~iiaterial consitlered by the Board consisled of tlie
enclosures, naval records, and applicable statutes, regulations and policies.
3. Tlie Board, having reviewed all the facts of record pertaining to Petitioner's allegations
of error and ilijustice, finds as follows:
a. Before applying to this Boartl, Petitioner exhausted all administrative remedies
available under existing law and regularions within the Departmel~t of the Navy.
b.
In correspondence attached as enclosure (2), the office having cognizance over the
subject matter addressed in Petitioner's application has commented to tlie eff'ect that tlie
request has merit and warrants favorable action.
CONCLUSION
Upon review and consideration of all t h e evidence of record, arid especially in light of the
contents of enclosure (2), tlie Board tinds the existence of an iqjustice warranting the
following corrective action.

RECOMMENDATION:
That Petitioner's naval record he corrected, where appropriate, to show that he requested and
was approved by the proper authority to receive ISI' Ibr (icneral I'ediatrics in the a~ilount of
$10,000.00 on I November 1998, 1 Nove~nbcr 1999, mtl I November 2000.
