1. Pursuant to tlie provisions of rekrc11ce (a), Sul?ject 1iereinal'tc.r referred to as Petitioner,
filed enclosure ( I ) with this Board requesting, in effect, that the :l.l)plicable naval record be
corrected to show EB entitlement..
2. The Board, consisting of Messrs. Rllcl'artlin, Milner, and Ms. Hare, reviewed
Petitioner's allegations of error and in.ji~stice on 18 June 2002 and. pursuant to its regulations,
determined that tlie corrective action intlicatctl below slioi~ltl be taken o n the available
evidence of record. Documentary ~ilaterial consitlc1-etl by the Bo;.tr-d consisted of tlie
enclosures, naval records, and applicable statutes. regi~latisns and policies.
3. The Board, having reviewed all the facts of record pertaining to Petitioner's allegations
of error and ili.ji~stice, tinds as follows:
a. Before applying to this Board, Petitioner exhausted all administrative re~nedies

In correspondence attached as enclosure (2), tlic office having cognizance over the
subject tilatter addressed in Petitioner's application has commented to tlie effect that the
request has tilerit and warrants favorable action.
CONCLUSION
Upon review and consideration of all the evidence of record, and especially i n light of the
contents of enclosure ( 2 ) . tlie Board finds tlie existence of an iqjustice warranting the
following corrective action.
