1. Pursuant to tlie provisions of refcl-elice (a), Sul9ect hereinafter referred to as Petitioner,
tiled enclosure ( 1 ) with this Board reqi~esting, in effect, that the applicable naval record be
corrected to show that the reenlist~iient of 30 October 2001 is in the rate/grade of AE2/E5.
2. The Board, consisting of Messrs. McPartlin, Milner, antl Ms. Hare, reviewetl
Petitiolier's allegations of error and injustice on I X June 2002 atid, pursuant to its regulations,
determined that the corrective action indicated below slio~~ltl be taken on the available
evidence of record. Docilnlentary ~naterial corisitlc~~ed by the f3oartl consisted of tlie
enclosures, naval records, antl applicable statutes, regulations and policies.
3. The Board, having reviewed all the facts of record pertaining to Petitioner's allegations
of error and injustice, finds as follows:
a. Before applying to tliis Board, Petitioner exhausted all atlministrative remedies
available under existing law and regulations within tlie Departnient of tlie Navy.
CONCLUSION
Upon review arid consideration of all the evidence of record, and especially in light of tlie
contents of enclosure (2), the Board finds the existence of an injustice warranting tlie
following corrective action.

RECOMMENDATION:
That Petitioner's naval record be corrected, where approp-iiite, to show that the reenlistment
of 30 October 2001 is in the ratelgrade ol' A121E5.
