MEMORANDUM. OF CONSIDERATION OF APPLICATION BEFORE THE AFBCMR 

Having carefully reviewed this application, we agree with the 
recommendation of the Air Staff and adopt the rationale expressed 
as the basis for our decision that the applicant has been the 
victim of either an error or an injustice.  Therefore, under the 
authority delegated in AFI 36-2603, the applicant's records will 
be corrected as set forth in the accompanying Memorandum for the 
Chief of Staff signed by the Executive Director of the Board or 
his designee.

SUBJECT:  Application for Correction of Military Records 1 

Requested Action and Basis for Request.  Restore 4 days lost at FY98 year-end 
balancing.  Applicant states mission requirements prevented him fiom using these days. 

Facts and Discussion.  Applicant had 56 days on 1 Oct 97, used 22 day, and had 64 days

on 30 Sep 98.  He lost 4 days on 1 Oct 98 because under 10 USC 701 members cannot carry 
more than 60 days into the next FY.  The applicant states he was unable to take scheduled leave 
on 8-1 1 Sep 98 due to participation as a member of a safety investigation board
