MEMORANDUM OF CONSIDERATION OF APPLICATION BEFORE THE AFBCMR
SUBJECT:
Having carehlly reviewed this application, we agree with the recommendation of the Air
Force and adopt the rationale expressed as the basis for our decision that the applicant has been
the victim of either an error or an injustice. Therefore, under the authority delegated in AFI 36-
2603, the applicant's records will be corrected as set forth in the accompanying Memorandum for
the Chief of Staff signed by the Executive Director of the Board or his designee.

The applicant is requesting a constructive reenlistment effective 19 Jul98 with
subsequent entitlement to a Selective Reenlistment Bonus (SRB).
On 18 Jun 98, HQ USAFDPRS announced SRB changes which reduced the applicant’s
SRB from 3 to 2.5 effective 20 Jul 98. The Military Personnel Flight failed to notify the
applicant of her eligibility, thereby missing her window of opportunity. As a result, the
applicant forfeited the option to reenlist early and collect the higher SRB multiple.
We recommend a constructive reenlistment be granted effective 19 Jul98 for six years.
The AF Form 901, Reenlistment Eligibility Annex to DD Form 4, Section In@) should reflect
an SRB Zone A, Mult 3, payable for 4 years and nine months. The applicant is not entitled to
full six years due to obligated service she already had based on a separation date of 17 Oct 99.
