MEMORANDUM OF CONSIDERATION OF APPLICATION BEFORE THE AFBCMR 

Having carefully reviewed this application, we agree with the recommendation of the Air 
Force and adopt the rationale expressed as the basis for our decision that the applicant has been 
the victim of either an error or an injustice.  Therefore, under the authority delegated in AFI 36- 
2603, the applicant's records will be corrected as set forth in the accompanying Memorandum for 
the Chief of Staff signed by the Executive Director or his designee.

Requested Action and Basis for Request.  Restore 14 days charged leave based on 

authorization for 14 days convalescent leave.

. He underwent an appendectomy while on leave and, on 
his new assignment at 
18 Mar 98, the attending physician authorized 14 days convalescent leave and 30 days light duty. 
In this case, we support granting relief based on the authorization for 14 days convalescent leave. 

Recommendation.  Restore 14 days to current leave account.
