MEMORANDUM FOR AFBCMR
FROM: HQ AFPCDPSFC

Randolph AFB TX 78150-4739
SUBJECT: Application for Correction of Military Record
Requested Action and Basis for Request. Restore 6 days charged leave, 2 - 7 Mar 98.
Applicant states she arrived at her new duty station on 2 Mar 98 and did not take leave en route
between assignments.
Facts and Discussion. Applicant departed Howard AFB Panama on 2 Mar 98. The travel
voucher summary shows applicant reported in at Langley AFB VA on 9 Mar 98. After allowing
for travel days, finance charged 6 days leave, 2 - 7 Mar 98. It appears finance used the date
(9 Mar 98) applicant did her travel voucher and not the actual date of arrival (2 Mar 98) at
Langley AFB. Her commander states applicant did not take any leave en route after departing
Howard AFB and before arriving at Langley AFB. In this case, we support granting relief
because applicant did not take leave en route and was present for duty immediately upon arrival
at Langley AFB on 2 Mar 98.
Recommendation. Restore 6 days to current leave account.
WILLIAM F. NADOLSKI, Major, USAF
Chief, Commanders’ Programs Branch
L
Restore 2 days charged leave for 25-26 Mar 98. When she reported in at the military personnel flight, finance allowed 3 days travel time 27 - 29 Mar 98 and charged 2 days leave, 25- 26 Mar 98. In this case, we support granting relief because the Air Force should not penalize the applicant for erroneous information received at the orderly room.
