MEMORANDUM OF CONSIDERATION OF APPLICATION BEFORE THE AFBCMR
SUBJECT: 1
Having carefully reviewed this application, we agree with
the recommendation of the Air Force office of primary
responsibility and adopt the rationale expressed as the basis for
our decision that the applicant has been the victim of either an
error or an injustice. Therefore, under the authority delegated
in AFI 3 6 - 2 6 0 3 , the applicant's records will be corrected as set
forth in the accompanying Memorandum for the Chief of Staff
signed by the Executive Director of the Board or his designee.

The attached application for correction to mihtary records submitted by the
applicant, a member of the New York A n National Guard, is forwarded for your
review and action. The applicant requests her date of rank be adjusted to show
creht for the time spent at a higher grade.
This Headquarters recommends relief. After review of Air National Guard
Instruction ANGI 36-2002 (E7ilistrnerit arid Reenlist merit in the Air Natiorinl Guard
and as a Reserve of the Air Force) and ANGI 36-2502 (Prornotiori of Airmen, Air
Natiorial Guard), we believe the applicant should be entitled to be credllted with the
time previously served in a higher grade. The applicant’s DOR should be adjusted
to give her c r e h t for two years and eleven months previously served in the grade of
E-5, which would be 1 Feb 95, with an effective date of 1 Jan 98.
