MEMORANDUM OF CONSIDERATION OF APPLICATION BEFORE THE AFBCMR 
SUBJECT : 

Having carefully reviewed this application, we agree with the 
recommendation of the Air Force office of primary responsibility 
and adopt the rationale expressed as the basis for our decision 
that the applicant has been the victim of either an error or an 
injustice.  Therefore,. under the authority delegated in AFI 
36-2603, the applicant'sirecords will be corrected as set forth in 
the accompanying Memorandum for the Chief of Staff signed by the 
Executive Director of the Board or his designee.

1.  The requested correction cannocbe accomplished administratively at this headquarters. 

2.  The applicant is requesting satisfactory service be granted for Retirement Year Ending (RYE) 
23 February 1997.

3.  The following is an analysis of the circumstances surrounding the case: 

, a.  Applicant was in the U.S. Air Force Reserve from 24 February 1989 to 30 August 1995. 
transferred to the Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA) program on 3 1 August 1995. 

b.  Applicant states  was improperly advised on when to complete 

annual tour.  It is 

apparent there was miscommunication between the applicant, the Base IMA Administrator and 
the squadron IMA Administrator.  If

c.  For RYE 23 February 1997, applicant earned 0 Active Duty (AD) points, 24 Inactive Duty

39 total retirement points and an unsatisfactory year of Federal service. 

4. We recommend this application be approved since applicant was participating in good faith.
