This is in reference to your application for correction of your naval record pursuant to the
provisions of title 10 of the United States Code, section 1552.
A three-member panel of the Board for Correction of Naval Records, sitting in executive
session, considered your application on 19 June 2001.

Your allegations of error and injustice
After careful and conscientious consideration of the entire record, the Board found that the
evidence submitted was insufficient to establish the existence of probable material error or
injustice. You accepted enlistment, in
paygrade E-3, under the provisions of the PRISE III
program. NAVETS enlisting under PRISE III agree to an initial 2 year contract during which
they are retrained in a rating other than that previously held. The Enlisted Community Manager
makes rate/paygrade determinations based on the needs of the Navy and when they disapproved
your enlistment as an IT3 it was your option to accept or decline the PRISE III offer.
