He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal on Permanent Orders 007-04, Headquarters, 10th Aviation Brigade, Fort Drum, NY dated 7 January 2002. He was released from active duty on 16 January 2002. The Army Commendation Medal is not listed on his DD Form 214.
CONCLUSIONS:
1. The applicant was awarded the Army Commendation Medal shortly before he was released from active duty. It should be added to his DD Form 214.
2. In view of the foregoing, the applicant’s records should be corrected as recommended below.
