3. The applicant states that she changed her enlistment option at the reception station which changed her enlistment commitment to 6 years and 00 weeks.
4. It appears the applicant originally enlisted for training in military occupational specialty (MOS) 98J (Electronic Intelligence Interceptor/Analyst) for an enlistment commitment of 4 years and 00 weeks. Her Enlistment/Reenlistment Contract, DD Form 4/3, item 20a shows she enlisted for 4 years and 00 weeks. The Fort Jackson, SC U. S. Army Recruiting Command Liaison confirmed that she changed her MOS training option resulting in a 6 year and 00 week enlistment commitment.
CONCLUSIONS:
1. The evidence shows the applicant changed her MOS training option after she enlisted. This resulted in a change to her enlistment commitment from 4 years and 00 weeks to 6 years and 00 weeks.
2. In view of the foregoing, the applicant’s records should be corrected as recommended below.
RECOMMENDATION:
