ADDENDUM TO
RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS
AIR FORCE BOARD FOR CORRECTION OF MILITARY RECORDS
IN THE MATTER OF: DOCKET NUMBER: BC-2005-01789-2
XXXXXXX COUNSEL: NONE
HEARING DESIRED: NO
_________________________________________________________________
APPLICANT REQUESTS THAT:
Her disability discharge with severance be changed to a disability
retirement.
_________________________________________________________________
Resume of Case:
On 28 Sep 06, the AFBCMR considered and denied the above request
(Exhibit F). In a letter dated 4 Oct 06 (Exhibit G), the applicant
submitted information she had intended to include with her rebuttal to
the BCMR Medical Consultant advisory. Since the information was
received subsequent to the Board’s consideration and decision, it was
forwarded to the Board as a request for reconsideration. The
applicant’s additional submission consisted of a five page article by
Douglas Brodie, MD, titled “The Cancer Personality: Its importance in
Healing.”
_________________________________________________________________
THE BOARD CONCLUDES THAT:
After again reviewing the complete evidence of record along with the
applicant’s latest submission, we are not persuaded that the applicant
has been the victim of an error or injustice. We find the information
contained in the applicant’s latest submission coupled with her
previous submission insufficient to overcome the findings and
recommendation of the BCMR Medical Consultant. Accordingly, we again
recommend that the requested relief be denied.
_________________________________________________________________
THE BOARD DETERMINES THAT:
The applicant be notified that the evidence presented did not
demonstrate the existence of probable material error or injustice;
that the application was denied without a personal appearance; and
that the application will only be reconsidered upon the submission of
newly discovered relevant evidence not considered with this
application.

After careful consideration of the applicant's submission along with the evidence of record, we see no evidence of an error or injustice that would warrant a change in her RE code. Therefore, we agree with the opinion and recommendation of the Air Force office of primary responsibility and adopt its rationale as the basis for our conclusion that the applicant has not been the victim of an error or injustice. _________________________________________________________________ THE BOARD...

The BCMR Medical Consultant states the applicant experienced approximately four episodes of loss of consciousness (syncope) while on active duty diagnosed as seizure disorder leading to disability discharge. The cardiology evaluation concluded her episodes of syncope in service were due to vaso-depressor syncope. After a thorough review of the evidence of record and the applicant’s submission, it is our opinion that given the circumstances surrounding her separation from the Air Force,...
