MEMORANDUM FOR THE CHIEF OF STAFF 

Under the authority of Section 1552, Title 10, United States Code, Air Force Instruction 
36-2603,  and  having  assured  compliance  with the  provisions  of  the  above  regulation,  the 
decision  of  the  Air  Force  Board  for  Correction  of  Military  Records is  announced,  and  it  is 
directed that:

MEMORANDUM OF CONSIDERATION OF APPLICATION BEFORE THE AFBCMR 

Having carefully reviewed this application, we agree with the recommendation of the Air 
Force Evaluation and adopt the rationale expressed as the basis for our decision that the applicant 
has been the victim of either an error or an injustice.  Therefore, under the authority delegated in 
AFI  36-2603,  the  applicant's  records  will  be  corrected  as  set  forth  in  the  accompanying 
Memorandum  for  the  Chief  of  Staff signed  by  the  Executive  Director  of  the  Board  or  his 
designee.

The following is an  analysis of the circumstances surrounding this

a.  The applicant transferred from the United States Army Reserve

1993.

the applicant earned 14 Active Duty  (AD) points, 
Training  ( I D T )   points and 0 Extension Course Institute (ECI) points. 

16 Inactive Duty 

b.  The  applicant did not participate for points while a member of 

the USAFR  from 25 June 1993 to 26  September 1993.  A memorandum f r o m  
the applicant's  Military Personnel Flight acknowledges the applicant 
was n o t   allowed to participate until returning from technical training 
school 
4.  We recommend this application be approved. 
Had t h e   applicant been 
allowed to participate from 25  June 1993 to 2 6   September 1993  enough 
points could  have  been earned  f o r   a satisfactory year of service.  In 
order to correct the applicant's  record t h e   board would have to award 
five non- paid  IDT points for retention/retirement year 27  September 
1992 to 26 September 1993.  The applicant's  recgrd would t h e n   show 14 
AD points, 21 I D T   points, 0 ECI points, 15 membership points and a 
year of satisfactory Federal  service.
