THE APPLICANT'S REQUEST, STATEMENT, AND EVIDENCE:
1. The applicant requests to add the Bronze Star Medal to her DD Form 214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty) for the period ending
18 January 2013.
2. She states the Bronze Star Medal is not listed.
3. The applicant provides a copy of Permanent Orders (PO) Number 267-015, dated 24 September 2013, for award of the Bronze Star Medal.
CONSIDERATION OF EVIDENCE:
1. The applicant entered active duty on 20 February 2012 with her U.S. Army Reserve unit in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).
2. She was released from active duty on 18 January 2013. Her DD Form 214 shows she served in Afghanistan from 27 March 2012 to 8 November 2012, a total of 7 months and 12 days.
3. PO Number 267-015, dated 24 September 2013, awarded her the Bronze Star Medal for exceptionally meritorious achievement as a cultural support team leader during her deployment to Afghanistan in support of OEF.
DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS:
Orders awarded the applicant the Bronze Star Medal. Therefore, she is entitled to addition of this award to her DD Form 214.
