MEMORANDUM OF CONSIDERATION OF APPLICATION BEFORE THE AFBCMR

SUBJECT: XXX

Having carefully reviewed this application, we agree with the recommendation of the Air
Force office of primary responsibility and adopt the rationale expressed as the basis for our
decision that the applicant has been the victim of either an error or an injustice. Therefore, we
recommend the applicant's records be corrected to show that:

The pertinent military records of the Department of the Air Force relating to XXXX be
corrected to show that:

 a. He was exempt from the cardio portion of his 28 February 2011, 31 May 2011,
31 August 2011, and 28 November 2011 Fitness Assessments, resulting in him attaining composite
scores of 85.0 (Good), 81.75 (Good), 96.00 (Excellent), and 96.25 (Excellent), respectively.

 b. He was promoted to the grade of airman first class (E-3), effective 26 November
2010 and with a date of rank (DOR) of 9 July 2010.

The applicant has been advised of the recommended relief and finds it full and fitting.

Members of the Board XXX, XXX, and XXX considered this application on 12 Mar 13.

There is no demotion action or demotion order in his personnel records. The applicant contends that his former grade should be restored because his demotion was based upon four consecutive fitness assessment (FA) failures, but one of the four failures was later declared void and removed from his records.
