ADDENDUM TO
RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS
AIR FORCE BOARD FOR CORRECTION OF MILITARY RECORDS
IN THE MATTER OF: DOCKET NO.: 99-03292
INDEX CODE: 100.03, 100.06
COUNSEL: NONE
HEARING DESIRED: Not Indicated
_________________________________________________________________
APPLICANT REQUESTS THAT:
His records be corrected in a manner which would allow his reenlistment
in the Air Force
_________________________________________________________________
RESUME OF CASE:
On 3 Oct 00, a similar appeal was considered and denied by the Board
(Exhibit A).
The applicant has provided additional evidence and requests reconsideration
of his application. His complete submission is at Exhibit B.
_________________________________________________________________
THE BOARD CONCLUDES THAT:
Insufficient relevant evidence has been presented to demonstrate the
existence of probable error or injustice. We noted the character
references the applicant provided in support of his request and do not find
them sufficient to warrant approval of the requested relief on the basis of
clemency. Our finding in this regard is based on the short period of time
he actually served and the multiplicity of the infractions committed by the
applicant against the good order and discipline of the service; and, the
short period of time which has elapsed since his separation. Therefore, in
the absence of evidence to the contrary, we find no compelling basis to
recommend granting the relief sought in this application.
_________________________________________________________________
THE BOARD DETERMINES THAT:
The applicant be notified that the evidence presented did not demonstrate
the existence of probable material error or injustice; that the application
was denied without a personal appearance; and that the application will
only be reconsidered upon the submission of newly discovered relevant
evidence not considered with this application.
