MEMORANDUM OF CONSIDERATION OF APPLICATION BEFORE THE
AFBCMR
Having carefblly reviewed this application, we agree with the recommendation of
the Air Force and adopt the rationale expressed as the basis for our decision that the
applicant has been the victim of either an error or an injustice. Therefore, under the
authority delegated in AFI 36-2603, the applicant's records will be corrected as set forth in
the accompanying Memorandum for the Chief of Staff signed by the Executive Director or
his designee.

The attached application for correction to m h t a r y records submitted by the
Air National Guard, is forwarded for your review

relevant education and experience upon transfer from an Army line Officer position

This Headquarters recommends relief. The applicant was appointed in the
Ar National Guard on 2 Dec 95. H3s constructive service credit was computed
by ANGDPPSO using an incorrect authority. In accordance with AFI 36-2005, the
member was an Army National Guard @ne) officer requesting to transfer to the Ar
National Guard (Medxal Service Corp). Therefore, his constructive service crecht
should have been computed IAW AFI 36-2005, Table 21.3 Rule 6. The member's
constructive service creht has been recomputed as follows: Master Degree,
Business Administration, (AFI 36-2005, Table 2.5 Rule 39, 2 years, 0 months and 0
days) and Army National Guard - line officer, (MI 36-2005, Table 2.5, Rule 45, 1
years, 2 months, and 23 days). The Masters Degree and the Army National Guard
c r e h t totals 3 years, 2 months and 23 days.
The member should have been appointed in the A n National Guard as
a First Lieutenant. Therefore, this Headquarters recommends changmg the
following dates, First Lieutenant, TYSD to 9 Sep 92 (Date of Appointment
backdated 3 years 2 months and 23 days), PSD 9 Sep 95, TFCSD 17 Jun 93
