MEMORANDUM OF CONSIDERATION OF APPLICATION BEFORE THE AFBCMR
SUBJECT :
Having carefully reviewed this application, we agree with the
recommendation of the Air Force office of primary responsibility
and adopt the rationale expressed as the basis for our decision
that the applicant has been the victim of either an error or an
injustice. Therefore, under the authority delegated in AFI
36-2603, the applicant's records will be corrected as set forth in
the accompanying Memorandum for the Chief of Staff signed by the
Executive Director of the Board or his designee.

SUBJECT: Application for Correction of Military Records (DD Form 149)
1. REQUESTED ACTION. Applicant requests awad of the Air Force Good Conduct Medal.
2. BASIS FOR REQUEST. Applicant served three years on Active Duty, honorably.
3. FACTS. Applicant served on Active Duty 7 Feb 92-8 Feb 95; three years and two days. He
earned the Air Force Training Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, and Air Force Out-
standing Unit Award. He was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal for the period 14
Sep 92-8 Feb 95; however, the orders were not cut until after his discharge, and the decoration
does not appear on his DD Form 2 14. There is no derogatory information regarding the appli-
cant in the documents provided for review.
4. DISCUSSION. The applicant served the required three years on Active Duty, and received
the Air Force Commendation Medal for the majority of that period. In the absence of any de-
rogatory Somation, we can frnd no objections to his being awarded the Air Force Good Con-
duct Medal.
. 5. RECOMMENDATION.
We recommend approval of the applicant's request to be awarded the Air Force Good
Conduct Medal.
