AIR FORCE BOARD FOR CORRECTION OF MILITARY RECORDS
RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS
AUG 1 4 5998
IN THE MATTER OF:
DOCKET NUMBER: 98-00405
COUNSEL: NONE
HEARING DESIRED: NO
Applicant requests that he be given credit for two additional
missions. Applicant's submission is at Exhibit A.
The appropriate Air Force office evaluated applicant's request and
provided an advisory opinion to the Board recommending the
application be denied (Exhibit C).
The advisory opinion was
forwarded to the applicant for review and response (Exhibit D). As
of this date, no response has been received by this office.
After careful consideration of the applicant's request and the
available evidence of record, we find insufficient evidence of
error or injustice warranting corrective action. Other than his
own assertions, the applicant has not presented any evidence
showing that he met the criteria for award of two additional
missions.
Should he provide documentation substantiating his
contentions that he completed two missions for which he did not
receive credit, the Board may be willing to reconsider his request.
Based on the evidence provided, we conclude that there is no basis
to recommend favorable action on the applicant's request.
The Board staff is directed to inform applicant of this decision.
Applicant should also be informed that this decision is final and
will only be reconsidered upon the presentation of new relevant
evidence which was not reasonably available at the time the
application was filed.
Members of the Board, Mr. David W. Mulgrew, Mr. Joseph G. Diamond,
and Mr. Terry A. Yonkers considered this Xpplication on 21 July
1998 in accordance with the provisions of Air Force Instruction
36-2603 and the governing statute, ns*c-
