corrected to show that the period of time I~etween his discharge from active duty US Navy to
tlie date he enlisted for the O(:S I'rogra~n in the (IS Marine Corps counts toward his Pay
Entry Base Date (I'EBI)).
2 . The Board, consisting of Messrs. (:halman, F'feiffer, and Ms. Humherd, reviewed
Petitioner's allegations of error and iri~irstice o n 5 June 2002 and, pursuant to its regulations,
tletermined that the corrective action indicated below sllould be taken on the available
evidence of record. Documentary material considered by the Hoard consisted of the
enclosures, naval records, and applicable statutes, regulations and policies.
3. The Board, having reviewed all the Pxts of record pertaining to Petitioner's allegations
of error and injustice, tintls as follows:
a. Before applying to this Board, Petitioner exliaustetl all administrative renietlies
available under existing law and regulations within the 1)epartment of the Navy.
b. After reviewing the correspondence attached as enclosure (2), the Board concluded
that the request has merit and warrants favorable action.
CONCLUSION
IJpon review and consideration of all tlie evidence of record, and especially in light of the
contents of enclosure (2), the Board finds the existence of an ili.justice warranting the
following corrective action.
RECOMMENDATION:
