4. The applicant’s DD Form 4/1, item 8 erroneously shows he enlisted in the Delayed Enlistment Program (DEP) on 14 December 2000 in pay grade E-4.
5. The applicant’s DD Form 4/3, item 21, shows he enlisted in the Regular Army on 5 February 2001 in pay grade E-3. The U. S. Army Recruiting Command Liaison at Fort Leonard Wood, MO verifies that the applicant’s DD Form 4/1 should show he enlisted in the DEP in pay grade E-3.
CONCLUSIONS:
1. There is an administrative error on the applicant’s DD Form 4/1. The evidence of record shows he enlisted in the DEP on 14 December 2000 in pay grade E-3, not pay grade E-4.
2. In view of the foregoing, the applicant’s records should be corrected as recommended below.
