4. The applicant’s U.S. Army Recruiting Command reservation sheets and his Oath of Extension of Enlistment shows he extended his enlistment in the Regular Army for a period of 26 weeks, thereby changing his term of enlistment to 2 years and 26 weeks. His Enlistment/Reenlistment Contract, DD Form 4/3, item 20a erroneously shows he enlisted for 2 years and 00 weeks.
CONCLUSIONS:
1. There is an administrative error on the applicant’s DD Form 4/3. The evidence of record shows he extended his enlistment to 2 years and 26 weeks.
2. In view of the foregoing, the applicant’s records should be corrected as recommended below.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the applicant’s DD Form 4/3 dated 18 October 2000, item 20a be corrected to show he enlisted for 2 years and 26 weeks.
