Having carefully reviewed this application, we agree with the recommendation of the Air
Staff and adopt the rationale expressed as the basis for our decision that the applicant has been
the victim of either an error or an injustice. Therefore, under the authority delegated in AFI 36-
2603, the applicant's records will be corrected as set forth in the accompanying Memorandum for
the Chief of Staff signed by the Executive Director of the Board or his designee.

Since we are unable to take action to administratively provide
the relief sought, we are forwarding it for your consideration.
Applicant is requesting one month‘s basic pay for the
Hurricane Andrew evacuation. Member states that he was stationed
at Homestead Air Force Base and was evacuated as a result of
Hurricane Andrew. The application was filed in a timely manner.
A review of the applicant‘s military pay account shows that
he received no advance pay at the time of Hurricane Andrew. He
departed
on September 9, 1992. Reference was made
to Docket Numbers 95-01223 and 96-01575 in his application. The
applicant‘s base pay in August 1992 was $1,375.50. Based on the
information provided, we find there has been an error or
injustice. We recommend approval of the applicant‘s request.
