Subject’s naval record
1.
Pursuant to the provisions of reference (a), Subject hereinafter referred to as Petitioner,
filed enclosure (1) with this Board requesting, in effect, that the applicable naval record be
corrected to show entitled to receive Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) for his prior duty
station.
2. The Board, consisting of Messrs.
Petitioner’s allegations of error and injustice on 19 November 2002 and, pursuant to its
regulations, determined that the corrective action indicated below should be taken on the
available evidence of record. Documentary material considered by the Board consisted of the
enclosures, naval records, and applicable statutes, regulations and policies.

3. The Board, having reviewed all the facts of record pertaining to Petitioner
of error and injustice, finds as follows:

BuPers order 0352 issued in February 2002 which reassigned Petitioner the
NAVCRUITDIST Jacksonville, FL was modified on 4 March 2002 to delete all funding
authorization from the order reassigning Petitioner to the USS Wyoming SSBN 742 (Gold),
Kings Bay, GA. The funding authorization was deleted because the reassignment was
considered to be within the same geographical area and in accordance with the Joint Federal
Travel Regulations Petitioner was not authorized travel of dependents or shipment of
households when being reassigned within the same geographical area.
b.
Petitioner was authorized payment of BAH for his prior duty station which was the
NAVCRUITDIST, Jacksonville, FL effective 17 September 2002.
C. That a copy of this Report of Proceedings be filed in Petitioner ’s naval record.
