Pursuant to the provisions of reference (a), Subject hereinafter referred to as Petitioner,
filed enclosure (1) with this Board requesting, in effect, that the applicable naval record be
corrected to establish entitlement to an increased amount of zone “A” Selective Reenlistment
Bonus for Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 1833.
2. The Board, consisting of Messrs. Brezna, Kastner, and
allegations of error and injustice on 5 November
determined that the corrective action indicated below should be taken on the available
evidence of record. Documentary material considered by the Board consisted of the
enclosures, naval records, and applicable statutes, regulations and policies.

RECOMMENDATION:
That Petitioner’s naval record be corrected, where appropriate, to show that:
a. The reenlistment executed on or about 5 October 2001 is for a term of 5 years, vice
4 years.
b. This change will entitle petitioner to an increased amount of zone “A” SRB, multiple
of 1, for MOS 1833.
C. That a copy of this Report of Proceedings be filed in Petitioner
’s naval record.

Records (32 Code of Federal Regulations, Section 723.6(c)) it is certified that quorum was
