1. Pursuant to the provisions of reference (a), Subject hereinafter referred to as Petitioner,
filed enclosure (1) with this Board requesting, in effect, that the applicable naval record be
corrected to show entitled to travel via private vessel when reassigned from Hawaii to San
Diego, VA.
2. The Board, consisting of Messrs. Bishop,
allegations of error and injustice on 30 March 1999 and, pursuant to its regulations,
determined that the corrective action indicated below should be taken on the available
evidence of record. Documentary material considered by the Board consisted of the
enclosures, naval records, and applicable statutes, regulations and policies.

BuPers order 0848 issued 25 March 1998 reassigning Petitioner from Pearl Harbor,
HI to Consolidated Divers Unit, San Diego, CA was modified to “authorize travel via private
vessel” vice “government procured air ”. Petitioner is authorized to be paid travel pay as
authorized by the Joint Federal Travel Regulations. (NOTE: Petitioner should go to the
closest facility which can compute travel vouchers and ask them to compute monies due for
his travel from
Ha&ii to San Diego, CA. Petitioner must present to the Agency computing
