1. Summary of facts and circumstances concerning discharge:
         880417:  Applicant was convicted in the Cumberland County Superior Court in                the State of North Carolina of assault with a deadly weapon. He was               sentenced to ninety (90) days. The sentence was suspended upon                     payment of cost and remain off campus of FSU for two years.
         880623:  Physical examination and mental status evaluation cleared applicant               for separation.
         880627:  Unit commander notified applicant of initiation of separation action              under the provisions of Chapter 14, AR 635-200, for conviction by a               civilian court. He was advised of his rights.
         880627:  Applicant acknowledged notification, consulted legal counsel, and                 did not submit a statement in his own behalf.
         880711:  Unit commander recommended approval with a general under honorable                conditions discharge.
         880711:  Intermediate commander recommended approval with a general                         discharge.
         880718:  Separation authority approved separation with a general under                      honorable conditions discharge.
         880727:  Applicant was discharged.
