THE APPLICANT'S REQUEST, STATEMENT, AND EVIDENCE:
1. The applicant requests removal from his official military personnel file (OMPF) Orders 42-2834 issued by Headquarters, U.S. Army Infantry Center, Fort Benning, GA, on 11 February 2005, that revoked award of the Parachutist Badge.
2. The applicant states he attended airborne school at Fort Benning, GA in 2005. He noticed that his Parachutist Badge was revoked by orders and he would like to have them removed from his OMPF as he has been an active paratrooper. The revocation order for his Parachutist Badge was submitted the same day as the award date on his airborne school certificate. He completed school and was sent directly to an airborne assignment in Vicenza, Italy to join the 173rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne) as an active parachutist. He was never informed that his badge was revoked for any reason and he wants it removed from his OMPF.

CONSIDERATION OF EVIDENCE:
1. The applicant enlisted in the Regular Army on 16 September 2004. He completed training and was awarded military occupational specialty 13B (Artilleryman).
2. PO 34-2887, issued by Headquarters, U.S. Army Infantry Center, Fort Benning, GA on 3 February 2005, awarded him the Parachutist Badge for successful completion of airborne training on 11 February 2005 or upon completion of training.
3. His records contain a certificate that shows he attended and completed the Basic Airborne Course at Fort Benning, GA on 11 February 2005.
4. Orders 42-2834, issued by Headquarters, U.S. Army Infantry Center, Fort Benning, GA on 11 February 2005, revoked Orders 34-29887, awarding him the Parachutist Badge.
5. He served through multiple reenlistments in a variety of assignments and attained the rank/grade of staff sergeant/E-6. He also completed the Jumpmaster Course on 13 May 2011.
6. A telephonic conversation on 21 July 2015 between the analyst of record and a staff member of the U.S. Army Airborne School confirmed the applicant was enrolled in the Basic Airborne Course and graduated on 11 February 2005.
7. Army Regulation 600-8-104 (Army Military Human Resources Record (AMHRR) Management) prescribes the policies and mandates operating tasks for the Military Personnel Information Management/Records Program of the Military Personnel System. It provides detailed guidance and instructions with regard to the initiation, composition, maintenance, changing, access to, and transfer of the OMPF. Table B-1 shows award orders (includes badges, bars, tabs, and so forth) are filed in the performance portion of the OMPF. The Army Board for Correction of Military Records may direct removal or movement of documents filed in the OMPF in the interest of justice or equity.
DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS:
1. The evidence of record shows the applicant attended the Basic Airborne Course in 2005 and graduated. He was issued an order awarding him the Parachutist Badge on 3 February 2005 but the order was revoked by another Order (42-2834) issued by the same headquarters a week later for unknown reasons.
2. An official at the Academic Records Branch of the U.S. Army Infantry School at Fort Benning verified and confirmed the applicant's graduation from the Basic Airborne Course and stated the revocation orders were issued in error.
3. The existence of orders revoking the Parachutist Badge in his OMPF is an error. Since he completed the Basic Airborne Course, the revocation orders should be removed from his OMPF.

BOARD DETERMINATION/RECOMMENDATION:
The Board determined that the evidence presented was sufficient to warrant a recommendation for relief. As a result, the Board recommends that all Department of the Army records of the individual concerned be corrected by removing Orders 42-2834, issued by Headquarters, U.S. Army Infantry Center, Fort Benning, GA on 11 February 2005, from his OMPF and ensuring the revocation orders enclosed with his application to this Board are not filed in his OMPF.
