		IN THE CASE OF:

		BOARD DATE: 19 April 2011

		DOCKET NUMBER: AR20100022563

THE BOARD CONSIDERED THE FOLLOWING EVIDENCE:

1. Application for correction of military records (with supporting documents provided, if any).

2. Military Personnel Records and advisory opinions (if any).

CONSIDERATION OF ADDITIONAL EVIDENCE:

9. The Army Board for Correction of Military Records (ABCMR) determined an administrative error occurred in the implementation of the Board's decision of Docket Number AR20100011649, dated 22 April 2010. The applicant requested that the date he entered on active duty be corrected to show "2001 08 24." However, his date entered on active duty was erroneously calculated using the dates he attended the Radiology Specialist Course.

10. His Defense Accounting and Finance Service (DFAS) record shows he served on active duty from 23 August 2001 to 18 July 2002.

ADDITIONAL DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS:

3. At the time of the decision of the ABCMR in Docket Number AR20100011649, dated 22 April 2010, it was the intent of the ABCMR to make the applicantÂ’s record as administratively correct as it should properly have been at the time.

4. The ABCMR's decision in Docket Number AR20100011649, incorrectly recommended that item 12a of his DD Form 214 show "2001 08 27 and item 12c show 10 months and 22 days.

5. However, DFAS records confirm he served on active duty from 23 August 2001 to 18 July 2002.
