                            RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS

      IN THE CASE OF:

      BOARD DATE: 03 NOVEMBER 2005
      DOCKET NUMBER: AR20050014759

I certify that hereinafter is recorded the true and complete record
of the proceedings of the Army Board for Correction of Military Records in
the case of the above-named individual.

| |Mr. Carl W. S. Chun | |Director |
| |Ms. Deyon D. Battle | |Analyst |

The following members, a quorum, were present:

| |Mr. Thomas Howard | |Chairperson |
| |Mr. John Infante | |Member |
| |Ms. Carmen Duncan | |Member |

The Board considered the following evidence:

Exhibit A - Application for correction of military records.

Exhibit B - Military Personnel Records (including advisory opinion,
if any).

THE APPLICANT'S REQUEST, STATEMENT, AND EVIDENCE:

1. The applicant requests that her Enlistment Contract be corrected to
show that she enlisted in the Army for 4 years and 00 weeks.

2. The applicant states, in effect, that her Enlistment Contract
erroneously shows that she enlisted in the Army for 3 years and 24 weeks.

3. The applicant provides in support of her application a Memorandum For
Record (MFR) from Headquarters, United States Army Recruiting Command
(USAREC) Liaison, dated 14 March 2005 confirming that the years of service
on her Enlistment Contract should read 4 years and 00 weeks; a copy of her
Reservation Sheet; a copy of her RA [Regular Army] Applicant Data Report;
and a copy of her Enlistment Contract (DD Forms 4/1 and 4/3).

CONSIDERATION OF EVIDENCE:

1. The applicant’s RA Applicant Data Report shows that she enlisted in the
Army for 4 years and 00 weeks on 10 March 2005. However, her DD Form 4/3
shows her term of enlistment as 3 years and 24 weeks.

2. The MFR from the USAREC, dated 14 March 2005, which was submitted by
the applicant in support of her application, confirms that the DD Form 4/3
is incorrect and that it should be corrected to reflect her term of
enlistment as 4 years and 00 weeks.

DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS:

1. An administrative error was made during the preparation of the
applicant’s Enlistment Contract, which resulted in the incorrect term of
service being reflected.

2. The applicant has submitted sufficient evidence to show that it was her
intention to enlist in the Army for 4 years and 00 weeks on 10 March 2005.
Both the MFR from the USAREC and the RA Applicant Data Report show her term
of enlistment as 4 years and 00 weeks and her DD Form 4/3 should be
corrected accordingly.

3. In view of the foregoing, the applicant’s records should be corrected
as recommended below.

2005, she enlisted in the Regular Army for 4 years and 00 weeks.
