                            RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS

      IN THE CASE OF:

      BOARD DATE: 20 September 2005
      DOCKET NUMBER: AR20050003060

I certify that hereinafter is recorded the true and complete record
of the proceedings of the Army Board for Correction of Military Records in
the case of the above-named individual.

| |Mr. Carl W. S. Chun | |Director |
| |Ms. Wanda L. Waller | |Analyst |

The following members, a quorum, were present:

| |Mr. James Hise | |Chairperson |
| |Mr. Thomas O'Shaughnessy | |Member |
| |Mr. Patrick McGann | |Member |

The Board considered the following evidence:

Exhibit A - Application for correction of military records.

Exhibit B - Military Personnel Records (including advisory opinion,
if any).

THE APPLICANT'S REQUEST, STATEMENT, AND EVIDENCE:

1. The applicant requests, in effect, that her dates of service in Iraq be
corrected in item 18 (Remarks) on her DD Form 214 (Certificate of Release
or Discharge from Active Duty) to show 7 February 2004 to 21 January 2005.

2. The applicant states she left Iraq on 21 January 2005 not on 21
February 2005.

3. The applicant provides a copy of her DD Form 214 and her discharge
orders.

CONSIDERATION OF EVIDENCE:

1. The applicant was ordered to active duty on 7 December 2003. Records
at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service show the applicant served in
Iraq from 7 February 2004 through 20 January 2005. On 16 February 2005,
the applicant was released from active duty.

2. Item 18 on the applicant's DD Form 214 shows the entry, "SERVICE IN
IRAQ FROM 20040207 TO 20050221."

DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS:

Evidence of record shows the applicant served in Iraq from 7 February 2004
through 20 January 2005. Therefore, item 18 on her DD Form 214 should be
corrected to show these dates of service.

BOARD DATE:

JH_____ TO______ PM_____ GRANT FULL RELIEF

________ ________ ________ GRANT PARTIAL RELIEF

________ ________ ________ GRANT FORMAL HEARING

________ ________ ________ DENY APPLICATION

BOARD DETERMINATION/RECOMMENDATION:

The Board determined that the evidence presented was sufficient to warrant
a recommendation for relief. As a result, the Board recommends that all
Department of the Army records of the individual concerned be corrected by:

      a. deleting the entry, "SERVICE IN IRAQ FROM 20040207 TO 20050221"
in item 18 on her DD Form 214; and

      b. adding the entry, "SERVICE IN IRAQ FROM 20040207 TO 20050121" in
item 18 on her DD Form 214.
