March 1999 and that his DD Form 214 does not show this service.

a. Permanent Orders Number 208-05, from Headquarters 1st Cavalry
Division, Fort Hood, Texas, dated 27 July 1998.
b. A DD Form 214, issued on 23 February 2001.

honorably in the Regular Army (RA) from 8 August 1996 to 23 February 1999.

the exact dates that he departed for Bosnia or returned to the United

DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS:
The applicant has provided no evidence to corroborate his contention that
he was in Bosnia from August 1998 to March 1999. The applicant's service
records show that he was in Bosnia on 24 February 1999; however, there is
no evidence available to show when he arrived in Bosnia or when he returned
to the United States. Therefore, no basis has been established to correct
his record.
BOARD VOTE:
________ ________ ________ GRANT FULL RELIEF
________ ________ ________ GRANT PARTIAL RELIEF
________ ________ ________ GRANT FORMAL HEARING
__mdm___ __kah___ __rld___ DENY APPLICATION
BOARD DETERMINATION/RECOMMENDATION:
The evidence presented does not demonstrate the existence of a probable
error. Therefore, the Board determined that the overall merits of this case
are insufficient as a basis for correction of the records of the individual
concerned.
Mark D. Manning
