APPLICANT REQUESTS: In effect, that his DD Form 214 (Report of Separation) be corrected to show that he deployed to the Far East in September or October 1953 and that he was promoted from corporal to staff sergeant on 20 June 1954.
APPLICANT STATES: In effect, that his records are wrong and should be corrected.
EVIDENCE OF RECORD: The applicant's military records show:
He was inducted and entered active duty on 9 March 1953. He completed training in May 1953 and was stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama until September 1954. He re-enlisted in the Regular Army on 9 July 1953.
The applicant was promoted to corporal 24 July 1954. With leave enroute, he reported to Fort Lewis, Washington for deployment to the Far East on 22 September 1954.
He trained in Japan from 9 October to 5 November 1954 and reached Korea on 9 November. He was transferred from the 7th Replacement Company to permanent duty with C Company, 31st Infantry on 24 November 1954. He departed Korea on 3 December 1955 and returned to the United States.

A 9 May 1957 audit of his service record, conducted by the Army Reserve Personnel Center and attached to an ARCEN Form 213 confirms, the above chronology of his enlistment.
DISCUSSION: Considering all the evidence, allegations, and information presented by the applicant, together with the evidence of record, applicable law and regulations, it is concluded:
1. Unfortunately, there is no available evidence to substantiate the applicant's requests.
2. In order to justify correction of a military record the applicant must show to the satisfaction of the Board, or it must otherwise satisfactorily appear, that the record is in error or unjust. The applicant has failed to submit evidence that would satisfy this requirement.
3. In view of the foregoing, there is no basis for granting the applicant's request.
DETERMINATION: The applicant has failed to submit sufficient relevant evidence to demonstrate the existence of probable error or injustice.
