      MEMORANDUM OF CONSIDERATION OF APPLICATION BEFORE THE AFBCMR


      SUBJECT:
            Having carefully reviewed this application, we agree with the
      recommendation of the Air Force office of primary responsibility and
      adopt the rationale expressed as the basis for our decision that the
      applicant has been the victim of either an error or an injustice.
      Therefore, under the authority delegated in AFI 36-2603, the
      applicant's records will be corrected as set forth in the accompanying
      Memorandum for the Chief of Staff signed by the Executive Director of
      the Board or his designee.


            Members of the Board, Mr. Thomas S. Markiewicz, Ms. Patricia  J.
      Zarodkiewicz and Ms. Dorothy P. Loeb considered this application on  6
      September 2006.

      MEMORANDUM FOR THE CHIEF OF STAFF


            Under the authority of Section 1552, Title 10, United States
      Code and Air Force Instruction 36-2603, and having assured compliance
      with the provisions of the above regulation, the decision of the Air
      Force Board for Correction of Military Records is announced, and it is
      directed that:


            The pertinent military records of the Department of the Air
      Force relating to APPLICANT, be corrected to show that:


                  a. His extension in the Regular Air Force of his 16
      November 2001 enlistment, executed on 21 July 2004, be, and hereby is,
      declared void.


                  b. He was honorably discharged on 22 December 2004 and
      reenlisted in the Regular Air Force on 23 December 2004, for a period
      of six (6) years; and, at the time of his reenlistment on 23 December
      2004, he was entitled to a Zone A, Multiple 5, Selective Reenlistment
      Bonus (SRB) for six (6) years of continued service.
