1. Pursuant to the provisions of reference (a), Subject hereinafter referred to as Petitioner,
filed enclosure (1) with this Board requesting, in effect, that the applicable naval record be
corrected to establish entitlement to a zone “A” Selective Reenlistment Bonus (SRB) for the
EN rating (NEC 4324).
2. The Board, consisting of Mr. Kastner, Mr. Mazza, and Ms. McCormick, reviewed
Petitioner’s allegations of error and injustice on 25 May 1999 and, pursuant to its
regulations, determined that the corrective action indicated below should be taken on the
available evidence of record. Documentary material considered by the Board consisted of the
enclosures, naval records, and applicable statutes, regulations and policies.
3. The Board, having reviewed all the facts of record pertaining to Petitioner
of error and injustice, finds as follows:

available under existing law and regulations within the Department of the Navy.

That Petitioner’s naval record be corrected, where appropriate, to show that:
a. The reenlistment executed on or about 15 December 1997 is null and void.

b. He executed a 4 month extension, operative date on or about 27 December 1997, to
complete
“C” school.
C. He was discharged on 23 April 1998 and reenlisted on 24 April 1998 (completion of
“C” school). The term is 5 years.
d. The above changes will entitle member to a zone “A” SRB, award level 2.5, for the
EN rating (NEC 4324).
e. That a copy of this Report of Proceedings be filed in Petitioner
’s naval record.

Records (32 Code of Federal Regulations, Section 723.6(c)) it is certified that quorum was
