		IN THE CASE OF:

		BOARD DATE: 18 March 2014

		DOCKET NUMBER: AR20130021985

THE APPLICANT'S REQUEST, STATEMENT, AND EVIDENCE:

1. The applicant requests correction of item 6 (Reserve Obligation Termination Date) on his DD Form 214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty) dated 7 May 2011.

2. The applicant states a mistake was made in recording the above date.

3. The applicant provides his DD Form 214, separation counseling checklist, Request for Reserve Unit Assignment Orders, and his enlistment documents.

CONSIDERATION OF EVIDENCE:

1. The applicant enlisted in the Delayed Entry Program on 11 January 2007 and incurred an 8-year military obligation (2015). He enlisted in the Regular Army on 8 May 2007.

2. On 7 May 2011, he was released from active duty and voluntarily transferred to a U.S. Army Reserve unit.

2. Item 6 of his DD Form 214 lists his Reserve Obligation Termination Date as 10 January 2014.

3. An advisory opinion was obtained from the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1. The Senior Army Reserve Career Counselor recommended approval of the applicant's request.
