		IN THE CASE OF:

		BOARD DATE: 23 September 2008

		DOCKET NUMBER: AR20080013755

THE BOARD CONSIDERED THE FOLLOWING EVIDENCE:

1. Application for correction of military records (with supporting documents provided, if any).

2. Military Personnel Records and advisory opinions (if any).

CONSIDERATION OF ADDITIONAL EVIDENCE:

16. On 4 September 2008, new information was received from the applicant in regard to the decision of the Army Board for Correction of Military Records (ABCMR) in Docket Number AR20050013261, dated 20 April 2006.

17. The applicant pointed out that paragraph 1 in the Discussion and Conclusions section of AR20050013261 stated that there was sufficient evidence on which to base award of the Combat Infantryman Badge; however, a recommendation for award of the badge was omitted in the Board Determination/Recommendation section of these Proceedings.

ADDITIONAL DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS:

9. At the time of the decision of the ABCMR in Docket Number AR20050013261, dated 20 April 2006, it was the intent of the ABCMR to make the applicant’s record as administratively correct as it should properly have been at the time.

10. The ABCMR's decision in Docket Number AR20050013261 did not include a recommendation for award the Combat Infantryman Badge in the Board Determination/Recommendation section.

11. Based on paragraph 1 in the Discussion and Conclusions section of AR20050013261, the applicant is eligible for award of the Combat Infantryman Badge.
