Diane Armstrong | |Member | The Board considered the following evidence: Exhibit A - Application for correction of military records. Records available to the Board indicate that the applicant enlisted in the United States Army Reserve on 22 August 2003, in pay grade E-3, under the Delayed Entry/Enlistment Program. They noted that the applicant was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree on 20 December 2003, prior to his enlistment in the Regular Army and as such, in accordance with Army Regulation...
ARMY | BCMR | CY2007 | 20070017064
The DA Form 4187-E, dated 13 December 1993, and DFAS Leave and Earnings Statement show the applicant was promoted to the pay grade of E-4 prior to his separation from active duty. The Board further determined that the evidence presented is insufficient to warrant a portion of the requested relief. As a result, the Board recommends denial of so much of the application that pertains to paying the applicant for 25.5 days accrued leave if the audit of his records shows he has already been paid...
ARMY | BCMR | CY2007 | 20070012333
The applicant requests correction of his DD Form 214 (Armed Forces of the United States Report of Transfer or Discharge) and correction of his DD Form 1966/1 (Record of Military Processing-Armed Forces of the United States) to show his rank as private first class/pay grade E-3, effective 9 September 2005. This regulation, in pertinent part, states that the active duty grade or rank and pay grade at the time of separation, taken from the Soldiers ERB, will be entered in Item 4a and 4b of...

It directed that her appointment grade and date of rank; in addition, to all subsequent promotion dates and dates of rank, be adjusted based on the entry grade constructive credit changes authorized and that she be provided any back pay and allowances due as a result. The available records do not contain any copies of orders indicating a 6 May 2001 effective date of pay grade for promotion to colonel. The Board determined that the evidence presented was sufficient to warrant a...

The applicant's military records show he enlisted in the U. S. Army Reserve (USAR) on 24 June 1983, as carpentry and masonry specialist (51B), in the pay grade of E-1, for 6 years, with an established expiration of term of service (ETS) of 23 June 1989. In order to justify correction of a military record, the applicant must show, to the satisfaction of the Board, or it must otherwise appear, that the record is in error or unjust. Records show the applicant should have discovered the...
ARMY | BCMR | CY2006 | 20060001023C070205
The applicant's record shows that he served on active duty in an enlisted status in the United States Marine Corps for 9 years, 8 months, and 13 days from 27 June 1969 through 9 March 1979, at which time he was honorably separated in the rank and pay grade of SSG/E-6. It states, in pertinent part, that warrant officer and enlisted members of the Army are entitled, when their active service plus their service on the retired list totals 30 years, to be advanced on the Retired List to the...

The applicant requests correction of his DD Form 214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty) to show he completed the Primary Noncommissioned Officer Course (PNCOC), the rank of Corporal/pay grade E-4, and award of the "Vietnam Era Medal." There is no evidence of record that shows that the applicant served in the military during the Vietnam War. Evidence of record shows that the applicant completed PNCOC in 1979 at Fort Carson, Colorado.

In effect, the applicant requests that his record be corrected to show his pay grade as E-5 when he was released from active duty. Thus, his request to correct his record to show his grade as E-5 upon his release from active duty is not granted. ____ Shirley L. The applicant requests correction of his Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (DD Form 214) to show award of his second Purple Heart. There is no evidence showing that the commander denied award of the Army Good Conduct Medal. This document confirms that when he was honorably REFRAD on 11 September 1984, he held the rank and pay grade of SSG/E-6, and that he had satisfactorily served in that rank and pay grade for the entire 6 year and 2 month period of active duty service documented by this separation document. In this case, the evidence of record confirms the applicant was promoted to SSG/E-6 and satisfactorily served on active duty in that grade from 12 July 1978 to 11 September 1984. That all of the...
