         The applicant and counsel if any, did not appear before the Board.

         The Board considered the following evidence:

         Exhibit A - Application for correction of military
records
         Exhibit B - Military Personnel Records (including
         advisory opinion, if any)

FINDINGS :

1. The applicant has exhausted or the Board has waived the requirement for exhaustion of all administrative remedies afforded by existing law or regulations.

2. The applicant requests that his Enlistment/Reenlistment Document, DD Form 4/1 be corrected to show he enlisted for 5 years and 00 weeks.

3. The applicant states, in effect, that his DD Form 4/1 erroneously shows he enlisted for 1 year and 00 weeks.

4. The applicant’s U. S. Army Recruiting Command reservation sheets and Statement for Enlistment United States Army Training Enlistment Program, DA Form 3286-63, shows that he enlisted in the Regular Army on 10 July 2001 for
5 years and 00 weeks. His Enlistment/Reenlistment Document, DD Form 4/1, section B, item 8 erroneously shows he enlisted for 1 year and 00 weeks.

CONCLUSIONS:

1. There is an administrative error on the applicant’s DD Form 4/1. The evidence of record shows he enlisted on 10 July 2001 for 5 years and 00 weeks, not 1 year and 00 weeks.

2. In view of the foregoing, the applicant’s records should be corrected as recommended below.

RECOMMENDATION:

That the applicant’s DD Form 4/1 dated 10 July 2001, section B, item 8 be corrected to show he enlisted for 5 years and 00 weeks.
