MEMORANDUM OF CONSIDERATION OF APPLICATION BEFORE THE AFBCMR
SUBJECT: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Having carefully reviewed this application, we agree with the
recommendation of the Air Force office of primary responsibility and
adopt the rationale expressed as the basis for our decision that the
applicant has been the victim of either an error or an injustice.
Therefore, under the authority delegated in AFI 36-2603, the
applicant's records will be corrected as set forth in the accompanying
Memorandum for the Chief of Staff signed by the Executive Director of
the Board or his designee.
Members of the Board, Mr. Joseph G. Diamond, Mr. Grover L. Dunn,
and Mr. Wallace F. Beard Jr., considered this application on 13 July
2005.

MEMORANDUM FOR THE CHIEF OF STAFF
Under the authority of Section 1552, Title 10, United States Code and
Air Force Instruction 36-2603, and having assured compliance with the
provisions of the above regulation, the decision of the Air Force Board for
Correction of Military Records is announced, and it is directed that:
The pertinent military records of the Department of the Air
Force relating to XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, be corrected to show that:
a. He was credited with an additional three (3) non-paid
inactive duty training points, for retention/retirement year 10 May 2003
through 9 May 2004, resulting in 50 total points and a satisfactory year of
Federal service.
b. He was credited with an additional one (1) non-paid
inactive duty training point, for retention/retirement year 10 May 2004
through 9 May 2005, resulting in 50 total points and a satisfactory year of
Federal service.
It is further directed that his record be considered for
promotion to the grade of major by a Special Review Board (SRB), and his
records be evaluated in comparison with the records of officers who were
and were not selected by the Fiscal Year 2006 Reserve Major Position
Vacancy Board, and if recommended for promotion by the SRB, the Air Force
Board for Correction of Military Records be advised of that recommendation
at the earliest practicable date so that all necessary and appropriate
actions may be completed. If he is not recommended for promotion by the
SRB, the office of primary responsibility advise him accordingly.
