THE APPLICANT'S REQUEST, STATEMENT, AND EVIDENCE: 1. The applicant requests reconsideration of his request to be awarded the Republic of Vietnam Civil Actions Honor Medal First Class (RVNCAHM-FC) Unit Citation. 2. The applicant states that he has obtained evidence in the form of General Orders which show that his unit was awarded the RVNCAHM-FC Unit Citation and he desires that award to be added to item 24 (Decoration, Medals, Badges, Commendations, Citations and Campaign Ribbons Awarded or Authorized) of his DD Form 214 (Armed Forces of the United States Report of Transfer or Discharge). 3. The applicant provides a copy of an email from the graphic designer/editor of the Cantigny First Division Foundation and a copy of General Orders Number 53, issued by Headquarters, Department of the Army, dated 22 October 1970. CONSIDERATION OF EVIDENCE: 1. Incorporated herein by reference are military records which were summarized in the previous consideration of the applicant's case by the Army Board for Correction of Military Records (ABCMR) in Docket Number AR20090014151 on 9 March 2010. 2. The applicant served in Vietnam from 15 January 1967 as a voucher examining specialist in the 1st Administration Company, 1st Infantry Division until he departed Vietnam on 8 January 1968. 3. General Orders Number 53 awarded the 1st Administration Company, 1st Infantry Division the RVNCAHM-FC for the period October 1965 to 7 April 1970. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS: General orders show the applicant’s unit was awarded the RVNCAHM-FC Unit Citation during the period of his assignment. Accordingly, he is entitled to this unit award and correction of his DD Form 214 accordingly. As a result, the Board recommends that all Department of the Army records of the individual concerned be corrected by adding to item 24 of his DD Form 214 the Republic of Vietnam Civil Actions Honor Medal First Class Unit Citation. 2.
