Dear Mr. Kristie:

	This is in response to your application for correction of military records wherein you request that your Prisoner of War (POW) status be reflected on your report of separation and that you be issued a Purple Heart.

	The Commander, Army Reserve Personnel Center has been requested to issue you a DA Form 1577, Authorization for Issuance of Awards, reflecting the award mentioned above and giving you further instructions as to how you may obtain the medals and/or decorations.  Furthermore, you will be issued a DD Form 215, which is used to correct your original separation document, to show your POW status.

	In view of the foregoing, no further action by this Board will be taken on your application.  Enclosed is a copy of the Board’s memorandum to the Commander, Army Reserve 
Personnel Center.
