2. The applicant requests that his previous application to correct the date and place of birth on his DD Form 214, Report of Transfer or Discharge, be reconsidered. 3. He states that the date and place of birth on his DD Form 214 is incorrect. In support of his request, he has provided a certified translated copy of his Mexican birth certificate showing his correct date and place of birth. 4. His DD Form 214 currently shows that he was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico on 27 June 1950. The translated copy of his Mexican birth certificate shows that he was born in Mexico City, Mexico on 27 June 1947. 5. The applicant had previously requested this change to his DD Form 214 which was withheld pending receipt of a certified translated copy of his Mexican birth certificate. CONCLUSIONS: 1. The applicant has provided a certified translated copy of his Mexican birth certificate showing his date and place of birth as 27 June 1947 in Mexico City, Mexico. 2. In view of the foregoing, it would be appropriate to correct the applicant’s records as recommended below. RECOMMENDATION: That all of the Department of the Army records related to this case be corrected by showing that the individual concerned was born in Mexico City, Mexico on 27 June 1947.
